Why hasn’t my train come in?

The Old Forgotten Tracks - Chromasia.com

Stare out into the darkness of an overcast day.
Look deep into the world that you’ve never seen.
Can you feel the strong hands that created these rails?
Can you spy the bright star that beckoned you come?

Feel the growth of the weeds that are choking you out.
Taste the dust of the earth that’s taking them back.
Touch the hot scorching wind that chases you away.
See the clouds in the sky that are making you blind.

When you were quite young you knew where to go.
The path that they’ve hewn was made just for you.
And then you did wait for your train to come in.
You expected that they would serve it to you.

Breath deep the injustice that the train never came.
How long must you wait till things are made right?
How long must you wait for your dreams to come true.
Breathe deep with the rage that they stole it from you.

How long will you yearn for what you don’t have?
How long will you wait for that one thing more?
How long will you cry, “why can’t it be me?”
How long will you say that’s where happiness lies?

When will you know that God gave you His seal?
When will you listen to His great plans for you.
When will you look to what you now have?
When will you learn that you have all you need?

See the clouds in the sky, they’re giving you rain.
Take the hot scorching wind, it’s really quite cool.
Take the dust of the earth, it’s really good soil.
Take the growth of the weeds, they’re beautiful flowers.

Appreciating the things that you do have,
Thanking The Lord for providing for you,
Using your gifts to help others grow,
Brings contentment and happiness and radiant love.

A beautiful life is within our own hands.
We just have to work to make it bear fruit.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
“I know the plans I have for you,” declares The Lord.
“Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
